In 2013, when certain social media accounts once more tried to con Snoop's followers into believing he had passed away, rumours that he had died also started to circulate.

Following the post, the hashtag "#RIPSnoop" started to gain popularity, reigniting concerns that the American had indeed passed dead.

Snoop's agents apparently stated that the 50-year-old is still alive and kicking throughout the weekend of July 9–10, 2022.

On Twitter, fans said that as they were viewing other videos, a coincidental commercial falsely announcing the rapper's demise appeared.
